Investment rationale
The crops of tomorrow need to thrive in many different environments and under varying conditions. From tolerating attack by disease, one of the major causes of crop losses, to providing more yield with less nutrients. Seeds and young plants, which can be seen as encoded programs full of untapped potential, have the ability to overcome these challenges. However, unlocking their genetic potential has proven difficult historically. BioLumic unlocks the natural, genetic potential of plants without chemicals, GMO or regulatory barriers, by communicating information directly to the plants through light signals.
