History

Early 90-ies

Rabobank launches its first private equity fund, serving mid-sized Dutch private companies.

1996

The PE activities are spun out into Gilde Buy Out Partners, now known as Rivean Capital, in which Rabobank remains anchor investor.

2002

Rabo Capital is established, targeting Dutch growth investments and buy outs.

2010

The assets under management grow to EUR 1.75bn, consisting of venture capital, private equity, recovery capital and fund investments.

2013

Three new investment funds are succesfully spun-out: Anterra Capital, Nordian Capital and Shift Invest, in which Rabobank remains investor. Rabo Capital continues with a smaller equity mandate and a subordinated debt proposition.

2017

The mandate of Rabo Investments is extended to EUR 1.0bn, focussing on PE, VC & Fund investments.

2021

The mandate is extend to EUR 2.2bn following years of strong performance by Rabo Investments.

2022

The Corporate Venturing activities of the bank are merged into Rabo Investments creating one center of excellence for all equity investment activities. The mandate is extended to EUR 3.2bn.
