Mialgae is a Scotland-based biotechnology company, pioneering a circular fermentation platform for the production of Omega-3 fatty acids for the animal feed industry (aquaculture and companion animals). Their mission is to replace wild-caught fish-oil in the supply chain thereby reducing over-reliance on our oceans for this critical input. MiAlgae’s innovative fermentation platform upcycles by-product from the whiskey industry to generate a DHA rich algal product that functions as a drop-in solution in feed. Their product is a plant-based, low carbon source of Omega-3’s that reduces dependence on dwindling fish stocks.
