Founded in 2020, Klim’s mission is to accelerate the global transition towards regenerative agriculture by providing a seamless, scalable solution for food companies to transform their agricultural supply chains. Klim’s digital platform empowers farmers with tools to plan, execute, and finance their transition to regenerative farming practices and supports food companies to mitigate and inset Scope 3 emissions, secure resilient supply chains, and enhance food quality.
Investment rationale
To drive systemic change in the food system cooperation between all value chain parties is needed. Klim addresses this need with their vertically integrated platform, connecting large F&A corporates with farmers in their supply chains. Their farmer-centric digital platform, combined with a strong financial services component, allows Klim to scale rapidly and create meaningful impact across the agricultural value chain, providing an additional income stream for farmers, improve soil quality, and increase yields. Klim’s proposition aligns well with Rabobank’s ambition to support rural clients’ transition to more sustainable practices and to provide wholesale clients with options and effective tools for decarbonization.
