Astrid van der Zanden Associate

Astrid joined Rabo Investments in August 2022. She is part of the Private Equity team and actively supports Dutch entrepreneurs in realising their growth ambition.

 

Astrid started her career at Rabobank as Global Trainee, during this graduate program she gained experience with the bank’s Sector Banking, Rabo Carbon Bank, Sales & Trading, and Rabo Investments departments. Before joining Rabobank Astrid completed various relevant M&A internships, both at Investment Banks as well as at Corporates. Astrid holds a Master’s degree in Finance & Investments from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Aukje Wolbert Executive Director

Aukje joined Rabo Investments in 2021 with a focus on the junior capital proposition of RI. She has several years of experience as an investment banker and manager in both the international wholesale and mid-market domain, in equity and debt markets. In her current role, she focuses on equity investments  s for fast growing companies in the mid-market domain. She’s passionate about creating sustainable value and growth together with diverse management teams through organisational improvements and strategic business initiatives.

 

She started her career at SocGen and Credit Lyonnais as an equity research analyst. After her position as senior credit analyst with Lloyds, she joined Rabobank in 2005 and fulfilled various positions in Acquistion Finance, Portfolio Management, Sustainability and FR&R Restructuring NL (team manager). Aukje holds an MBA from the University of Durham, UK.

 

Bas Verlee Executive Director

Bas joined Rabo Investments in 2018 as an investment manager in the private equity team. He has a keen interest in actively working with entrepreneurs and management teams to provide strategic support helping them to realize their ambitions.

 

Bas started his career in 2006 at ING, working in the corporate bank, and subsequently at Rabobank’s wholesale division specializing in Acquisition Finance and Structured Finance where he was involved in multiple buyouts and tailor-made financial solutions across various industries. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda.

Cindy Noordzij Business Support Officer

Cindy joined Rabo Investments in May 2022 as business support officer for the Equity and Fund & Co team. After a career as management assistant in the IT & Offshore industry she started at Rabobank in 2019 as management assistant in the CIOO Domain.

Elena Makina Director

Elena joined Rabo Investments in May 2022. She has over 10 years of investment banking experience and has been involved in various M&A transactions in the Netherlands and Belgium. With her broad background working with both large corporates and mid-market companies at Lazard, Alantra and ING, she will support our management teams in their growth ambitions. Elena holds a master degree in Finance & Investments from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Guus Overdijkink Head Private Equity a.i.

Guus joined Rabo Investments in January 2024, as interim Head of the Private Equity team. He gained private equity experience from 2000 at 3i, Transmark, All Capital, Janivo and Victus Participations. Prior to 2000, he worked at McKinsey and BCG. Guus studied Applied Physics at TU Delft and holds an MBA from INSEAD. Guus joined Rabo Investment in January 2024 as interim head of the Private Equity team. He has built his private equity experience from 2000 and has worked at 3i, Transmark, All Capital, Janivo and Victus Participations. Prior to 2000, he worked at McKinsey and BCG. Guus holds an MSc in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD.

Jorg Jentjens Associate Director

Jorg has been with RI since October 2018. After internships with Porsche China and Avedon Capital Partners in Düsseldorf, he started his career as a global management trainee at Rabobank. After his traineeship he gained relevant experience within the Rabobank Acquisition Finance Group. Jorg holds a Master’s degree in Management (University College London) and Corporate Law (Maastricht University). Being raised in a family business and having a strong interest in entrepreneurship, at RI he supports a variety of SME’s with realising growth.

Jorg is involved with portfolio companies JOZ, V&S and Havatec, where amongst others, he has been part of a Project Management Office to coordinate various change- and improvement initiatives.

Jorn van der Poel Executive Director

Jorn has been working for RI since May 2018. He focuses on equity investments in Dutch SMEs active in F&A. He’s passionate about creating value together with the entrepreneur with a focus on human capital and business strategy. Before, Jorn worked in Structured Finance where he was involved in the structuring and origination of tailor-made financial solutions for scale-ups, mid and large corporates.

 

Jorn started his career at Rabobank International in 2010 and has a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering & Management from University of Twente.

Malaya van Ruitenbeek Associate Director

Malaya has joined RI in August 2019, where he helps Dutch entrepreneurs reach their ambitious growth goals. Between his experiences as a small business owner, working in a start-up and being part of a global strategy consulting firm, he got to appreciate the venturous and open way of working of RI when doing Commercial Due Diligence work for them. After having closely supported SME and midmarket companies as a management consultant, he now combines his business sense and inquisitiveness to help entrepreneurs reach their goals with RI’s financial solutions. Malaya holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Delft.

Nick Stokman Operating Partner Energy Transition

Nick joined Rabo Investments in Q1 2023, focusing on fast growing innovative companies within the energy domain that support the energy transition. He has 13+ years of experience working for investment companies mostly investing in clean energy, and ranging from large scale renewable project investments, fund investments, buy-outs and venture capital. The last years Nick has been focussed mostly on start-ups and scale-ups in the energy tech domain.

Nick has a financial background and holds a double MSc. Degree from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Next to his role within RI, Nick holds (part time) positions as non-executive board member, IC member for an early stage VC fund and investment director for a family office.

Peter Jansen Associate

Peter joined Rabo Investments in January 2023. He is part of the Private Equity team and is committed to helping portfolio companies further accelerate in their various growth phases.

 

Before joining RI, Peter gained direct private equity experience as an analyst at Victus Participations, where he focused on established Food & Agri companies in the Benelux. As a student, he completed relevant internships in M&A and Private Equity. Peter graduated magna cum laude with a Masters in Financial Economics from KU Leuven in Belgium with an extensive specialisation in Global Management at NEOMA Business School in France.

Roelant Mantel Executive Director

Roelant joined RI in December 2015, where he focuses on ambitious Dutch companies that want to grow further. Prior thereto he was active in the fields of capital structuring and acquisition finance at Rabobank, where he was involved with various management and leveraged buy-outs as well as strategic acquisitions. Realising growth and improvements together with management teams is what drives Roelant. He started his career at Rabobank as a management trainee in 2006. Roelant studied Business Administration at the VU Amsterdam and Law at the University of Amsterdam.

Rosan Jansen Associate Director

Rosan joined Rabo Investments in 2022. She is part of the private equity team and actively supports Dutch portfolio companies realizing their ambitions.

 

After having done various internships (NIBC, PWC, Deloitte), she started her career at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she worked as consultant for 4 years. At BCG she advised multinationals across many sectors, focusing on marketing, sales and pricing, corporate strategy and organizational transformations. As part of her development she was on secondment for half a year with Bol.com where she joined the business development department.

 

Rosan holds a Master’s degree in Econometrics and Management Science from the Erasmus School of Economics in Rotterdam, with a specialization in Quantitative Finance.
